This interactive training offers practical tools and perspectives from the evidence-based Mindful Self-Compassion program, designed with helping professionals in mind.

Continuing Education Credit

This program has been approved for 11 Continuing Education Credits by the National Association of Social Workers, ME Chapter.

Psychologists: Continuing Education Credit for this program is provided by UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness. The UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This course offers 11.0 CE credit.

California licensed MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, LCSWs: Continuing Education Credit for this program is provided by UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness. The UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. 11.0 CE credit may be applied to your license renewal through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. For those licensed outside California, please check with your local licensing board to determine if CE credit is accepted.

Join us for the empirically-supported Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program developed by Drs. Kristin Neff and Chris Germer to pause, rest and reflect, and to gently expand your capacity to navigate life’s many ups and downs with more compassion, wisdom and ease.

In this class you will discover:

The course includes meditation, reflection and writing exercises, and group discussion, with a focus on in-session practice of the skills we are learning. No prior meditation experience is necessary.

A growing body of research demonstrates that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, an ability to cope with life challenges, a healthier lifestyle, more satisfying personal relationships, and lower levels of anxiety and depression.
