Coaching with Emily

I am here to lead you back to yourself.

As a sensitive person, my primary intention is to give you lots of room to locate yourself and support the parts of you that are lost, hiding, hurting, confused, crying out or feeling not ok.

It has been an honor to work with people one-on-one for the past 15 years. Throughout that time, I’ve come to recognize that there are many ways to transformation and that each of us are unique in how this comes about. Together, we will listen to the signals from your body, mind and heart. Sessions are customized to work from your needs as they arise and change in the moment and can be explored sitting, standing, lying down or in whatever way promotes the deepest listening for you.

I have a background in mind-body health with a particular passion for deep listening. I have been in private practice and facilitating groups for the past 15 years.  I am a Certified Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator in the work of Brené Brown and an AmSAT Alexander Technique Teacher with further trauma resolution training in Somatic Experiencing® and Internal Family Systems

I draw on the following modalities listed below because they have all had a profound impact on my own life and those I’ve worked with. They will provide guide posts with the highest regard to discovering the innate wisdom and abilities that are already within you.

I am devoted to drawing out your clarity and truth.

I am trained in:

Mindful Self-Compassion – An empirically supported program with tools created to develop the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion. Founded by Drs. Kristin Neff and Chris Germer.Being more sensitive, we can feel ashamed, isolated or not enough. We can have intense, deep feelings we don’t understand. Learn how to be there for yourself, have your own back, and move into wise action even when the world is not always understanding or being kind.
Internal Family Systems – An evidence based therapy developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz.Picking up on subtly, we often have parts of us that get confused, conflicted or overwhelmed. This can lead to any number of symptoms – anxiety, depression, or feelings of being stuck in an internal battle within ourselves. IFS is designed to help these parts feel heard, seen and untangle from the wounds of the past as well as strengthening our self-leadership and clarity of what we want and most need.
The Daring Way™
A highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown.
Often highly sensitive people have been disempowered or treated like something is wrong with them. The Daring Way™ was created to navigate shame, vulnerability, risk, and uncertainty differently to help transform the way we live, love, parent and lead.
Somatic Experiencing®
A somatic therapy developed by Dr. Peter Levine for trauma resolution.
Learn to listen to what your body is trying to tell you. This process can also help release trauma that has been stuck in the body and relieve pain physically, mentally and emotionally.
The Alexander Technique
A mind-body practice developed in the 1890s by Frederick Matthias Alexander
When we get overstimulated or feel unsafe this can create various tension patterns and responses in the body. Learn how to befriend your body and give it what it needs throughout the day.

One-on-one sessions are currently offered online through Zoom. My rate is $160/hr. I do offer a sliding scale – all sliding scale spaces are currently full. Schedule a free 30 minute consultation through the form below.
